Bowling and More!

I CANNOT BELIEVE that I do not have any pictures. Well, I have some on my phone but have no clue as to if I can put them on the computer. Doubt it.

We took Morgan, Maddie and Auntie Annie to Kings yesterday to go bowling - Morgan's first time and Mommy's first time in about 10+ years! It was a blast!! We had an end alley all to ourselves, had food (dinner) delivered, and just bowled! Morgan's bowls were hilarious - her speed was 3.3!! It took about a half hour for the ball just to reach the pins, but they were dead on!! She was great!

After we finished up one round of bowling, Morgan and Daddy played a little air hockey and then we headed out for ice cream!! After ice cream and while we were there, Daddy realized we needed some meat from Whole Foods, so he and Morgan were going run in the store for a minute. Morgan never made it in...while she was walking and licking her ice cream cone, she walked (and I kid you not) dead straight into a tree!!! I'm laughing so hard right now (again) as I write this now. I was across the street with Maddie and Annie and saw the whole thing...lick ice cream, walk into tree, ice cream falls, Morgan falls too!!! Oh hysterical!!!

I ran across the street and the poor thing has a little cut on her nose. I just want to throw it out there now that if it turns out she also has a deviated septum, this is how she got it!!! :0) Oh gosh...can't stop laughing!!!

On Sunday nights at 7, Morgan and I have been watching some Americas Funniest Home Videos. I know it's so ridiculous for me to love that show, but it can seriously make me laugh like no other. And sometimes, you just need a good laugh. Anyways, so we've been watching it and after this little incident, I said to Morgan, "If only we had a video camera, you could have been on Americas Funniest Home Videos!" Morgan said, "Why?!" I replied, "Because you walked into a tree!" And she was laughing!!! Oh too funny! A great night, indeed.

Trouble!

MADDIE'S FAVORITE WORDS: "ALL DONE!"
She's lost "MAMA!" unless she's crying in her crib, but continues with "DADA" and almost says "BYE-BYE!"

And here's some picts of her starting to "climb." I really don't know what we're going to do -Morgan was never a climber. She's trouble...not much more to say than that!! Except....she must be her father's daughter!! :D

MADDIE REFUSES TO WEAR SHOES, BUT SHE'S HAPPY TO TRY MORGAN'S NEW SANDALS ON!!
PLAYING IN THE KITCHEN. IT WAS SO HOT TODAY!!
CLIMBING THE "LEARNING HOME!"
LIKE I SAID....TROUBLE!!
AWWWW....CUDDLE BEAR!!

FUN OLD FASHIONED FAMILY WEEKEND!

Things are hot here on the home front. Tomorrow is expected to be 90 degrees, with 88 degrees to follow on Wednesday. Thankfully we had a nice weekend. The weather was nice, but it wasn't too brutal.

Saturday we took the kids to Larz Anderson Park which is a great playground because it's so shaded...nice for the ALL my red-heads! Morgan made a friend there, Lily, and they played for quite a bit. And then she and Daddy got a "home-run" around the bases before we left.

SAFE!!!
MORGAN'S FRIEND IS IN STRIPES. THEY HAD A BALL.
As you can see, Maddie really just "hung" out.

THIS WAS THE POKER FACE THAT SHE HAD MOST OF THE HER TIME ON THE SWING. AT LEAST UNTIL...

THIS COULD BE MY FAVORITE PICT OF ALL TIME. LOVE IT!!

We even got to use the teak furniture which came from the Vineyard :( We had a BBQ Sunday and ate outside. Which the kids also loved. We didn't quite get to the chores on my to-do list, but we had a nice family weekend.

YOU CAN TELL FROM MORGAN'S FACE THAT "PUMPING" ISN'T AS EASY AS IT LOOKS! :)
MADDIE WILL ONLY EAT WATERMELON LIKE THIS.
MADDIE REALLY DID LIKE THE WATERMELON. SHE WAS ALSO JUST TIRED. THOSE ADENOIDS REALLY NEED TO COME OUT SOON!!
DINNER OUTSIDE...CAN'T BEAT THAT!!

And here we go again...

Well, as it turns out, Morgan's doctor has it all figured out: "The apple does not fall far from the sister!" he said. And he is right.

Maddie got in early to the ENT today. Turns out, same problems as Morgan: 2/3 of area surrounding adenoids is blocks and LOTS of mucus. Right ear is "dull" which shows frequent ear infections, one recently. So basically the doctor said somewhere in her future, she will need tubes and adenoids out and she suggests doing it one surgery.

Sign her up!! ASAP!!! I've already called to try to have it booked. Mommy and Daddy want to take back their sleep at night and have a happy Maddie (and non-medicated) baby girl again!

By the way - she's a walking folks! I have known that she really likes to have on pants/capris to cover her knees when she crawls. She's been taking so many steps lately. And while I've been deciding which pj's to put on her tonight b/c it's so warm here, she's been in just a onesie. Well, low and behold, since she hates crawling around without pants on...she walks everywhere! :) What a big girl, Maddie!!!

Will keep you all posted as to when the surgery will be. But our summer is filling up so quickly, we're on limited time options. So, Mommy and Maddie will both be having surgery this summer. Ay ay ay!! Not the best way to spend my one and only summer off, but at least we'll be getting things accomplished!!?!!

More Irish Step Dancing

Morgan practicing before we left.
Actually wearing a Santa hat for "Christmas in Kilarney!"
Heading out the door!
Auntie Annie did Morgan's curls. Thanks, Auntie Annie!
At the end of the show, Morgan got a flower

Morgan awaiting her turn for "the" solo!

Morgan's Solo Irish Step Dancing Recital

Let me explain this video first by stating that my "zoom" on the camera was stuck and I couldn't zoom out to see the whole thing.

Let me also so that this moment in time was PRICELESS. Her ballet shoes slipped off, hence the sitting down and fixing it, and in true Daddy form - she was not going to miss her moment of glory. So, she just did it again. And as Bernie (her teacher and dear friend of Auntie Annie's) told her, "That's ok!!"

JUST REALIZED

I posted some of those birthday pictures already! Does that tell you what an insane week it's been?! But, as I was eating Maddie's leftover birthday cake tonight, she actually tried it!! And liked it enough to have many spoonfuls more!!

We have Morgan's Irish Step Dancing recital tomorrow! So very excited and proud of our big girl! (Though I think maybe I should wait for that until I see how she does!!)!! Just kidding!!

WE LOVE YOU MORGAN AND ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!! WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU IN ACTION!!

LOTS OF VIDEO AND PICTS TO COME!

Picts of Maddie's birthday

It's been an insane week, but our baby is 1!!! She had her check-up yesterday and here are her stats:
24 lbs. 13 oz - 93%ile
31.25 inches long - 98%ile
I don't remember how big her head was, but it was in the 97%ile...Rorks for sure!! :)

Maddie is definitely an unhappy camper these days. Going to the ENT asap! So I can't give you any more info than that at this time. It was a great birthday, though she ate no cake!! Can you believe it. If I didn't know better, I'd say, "not my child!" But she most certainly is and I'm proud of it! Happy Birthday, Madeline!!!!

MADDIE TURNS ONE YEAR!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NANA! We hope you got some tasty cake and ice cream!! :)

What a day! But before I get into it, how is it really possible that it's been a year? My little baby is a toddler! She's crawling, has taken a few steps here and there (without a walker or anything), reaching everything, and pretty much putting everything into her mouth. Well, that would be everything, but cake!

Believe it or not, she didn't touch the cake! But, after her day today (and really the past month plus) who can blame her? My poor little (well, not so much "little") baby seems to be following her sisters foot steps. Her green gook congestion has been keeping her from sleeping and eating.

We were at the docs once again and will be visiting an ENT very soon. But, even the green gook stayed away today for lots of birthday celebration. Morgan got Maddie some bed time stories to read together. Mommy and Daddy got Maddie some summertime fun toys, as well as (both girls) a red wagon to go for rides! Presents came from near and far, and we are thankful for all...but mostly we are thankful and blessed to have such wonderful daughters and family.

The red-heads are the best! Thanks to all for you birthday wishes. Just hoping and praying for a healthy year ahead!

Sending lots of hugs and kisses to Nana on her birthday! XOXOXOXO

"Mom, is it time for bed yet?!"
Not wanting the cake so much.
A pre-bedtime ride!
Birthday hugs before Morgan left for school.
And birthday pictures! LOVED the outfit, Ryan and Ali!
And a tasty birthday cake!

Update on the Wee Enchanted Garden

LOTS OF GROWTH! LOOKS LIKE DADDY NEEDS TO MOW THIS LAWN TOO! :)

Mother's Day Special

Well, we made it to brunch! :) We had a 3am wake up call from a sick Maddie. Poor thing. After some motrin and bottle she went back to bed. Morgan and Maddie woke up and after hugs and kisses, Kev took them downstairs. About 30 minutes later, he came back up...the car was dead...wouldn't start. My knee must have hit the interior lights on, and we didn't know it. But, a trip to Sears and a special plug-in jumper, and we made it. Nothing like a little chaos to start your mother's day!

A great meal later, though...and all was well again! Maddie, Morgan and Mama had great naps while Daddy mowed a much needed lawn. Laundry. Cleaning-up. Taking care of sick (and miserable) Maddie. Playing. Take-out. Bed time :) . A great Mother's Day!!!

MAMA!!!

YEAH! MADDIE SAID IT..."MAMA!"
I am very excited!!! She's all growns up! :)

It's been a HOT week here in Beantown and I'm happy to report we've not only survived, but we now have new AC's. Double yeah!

The girls are good. Maddie continues to have fever/teeth/ear problems, but she's started her antibiotic, so I hope to see some more improvement soon. Morgan's doing very well and more and more so growing up.

Yesterday, I took care of my friends baby, Master Billy, and when we all took Morgan to school I explained to Morgan that I would drop her off and walk her in to her teachers but I couldn't walk her up the stairs to her classroom (as I always do with Maddie) because I have 2 babies and that's not safe. So when we arrived and I was standing next to the car, Morgan said, "Alright. Bye Mom" and went to go walk inside by herself. I cherished that moment for a minute and then followed her into the doorway where I grabbed a teacher to let them know the plan. All grown up and ready for Southfield.

The past few days in pictures...
Billy boy having breakfast with Maddie.
Maddie says Mama! Yeah!
Yes, I'm thankful at least my arms don't look like that in a tank top! Close, but not quite! :)
Morgan and Maddie have a jam session!
Maddie LOVES Uncle Ryan's chair! She's checking out those thunder thighs!
