Easter

I realize there are A LOT of pictures here, but there were too many good ones to choose from! We had an AWFUL night before Easter with Connor who spent most of the night awake that night. But, Easter day was wonderful! We started with 8 a.m. Mass with Kevin, myself and Morgan. Uma and Upa were kind enough to stay behind with Maddie & Connor who would not have faired so well at church. Then we came home, did an Easter egg hunt around the house, had some outdoor play-time, dressed up like cowgirls (Morgan!!), and got re-dressed for brunch with Gamma, Papa and Auntie Annie!! It was a great brunch and a special Easter!
Morgan is ready for church with Mommy & Daddy
And then an Easter egg hunt (and change of clothes)!
(And Connor slept through!!)
And off to brunch!

Easter pictures with all three!!!

And a nice nap on the way home!
Melts my heart!!

A little change of wardrobe!!!
Bonding time!

AWWWW!!!

Uma & Upa Visit!!

Uma and Upa arrived Thursday afternoon just in time for dinner!! And they immediately got to work...feeding and cuddling Connor...

...babysitting for the girls (on Saturday) while we napped!!

...snuggling - Maddie was a little less cuddly, I guess!
...snapping picts (f.y.i. - this is probably the only time Connor was not held all weekend!!) :)
...making sure there was "awake time" during the day!
...and play time...
...and nap time...
...and sister-time!...
and "Upa is playground" time...

...and of course, the Easter -preparation time!...

We all had a fantastic time with our Uma and Upa!! Morgan was immediately enamored with her Upa (as she always is with the boys), and was so happy to get creative with her Uma. Maddie took a little time to warm up, but was so happy to have them there that she didn't even notice when we disappeared (to nap!). And Connor, I am pretty sure he was not put down the entire weekend (except at night when they disappeared to their hotel)!!!

We LOVED having them here and can't thank them enough for not only coming to visit, but for putting up with both Kevin and I, who I must say, couldn't have been the least hospitable...not one meal cooked, and I think only 2 trips out of the house (to eat of course) with all of us!

But, we had a great time catching up and visiting...and will now rest up and get ready for next time!!

Priceless...

In case you have missed it, Maddie calls "Connor," "Knacker."
Here is a little dictionary lesson...

From Wikipedia...

"Knackered" meaning tired, exhausted or broken in British and Irish slang is commonly used in Australia, Ireland, Newfoundland and the United Kingdom.

The term "knacker" is sometimes used in Ireland to denote an Irish Traveller though it is considered pejorative, and is sometimes used to refer to people of a perceived lower class who may not be travellers.

... often refers to senior police figures as "Inspector Knacker."

From Urban Dictionary:

Irish term of affection for general scum (low lifes). Originally originating from a term of reference for travellers. But nowadays covering whole spectrum of degenerates.

Spring is here!!

Our first weekend with all three kiddos was spent mostly outside trying to burn some energy! The girls absolutely adore their younger brother, and just can't get enough of him. Here are some picts from the weekend...

Connor relaxes and enjoys some quiet time while the girls played outside!

Getting some fresh air has apparently knocked him out!

A Family of 5!!!

Connor is home and I just can't believe we are a family of 5!!! Everyone is doing well. Maddie gave Connor some love for the first time this morning and last night with a few kisses and some head rubs. Gentle head rubs! :) Morgan just wants to hold him all the time and can't understand why she can't walk around with him and why she can't feed him. In a few months, she'll be a HUGE help. For now, she helps get things...diapers, wipes, bibs, etc.!! Mommy's big helper!! And now that she has had the stomach bug and got over it relatively quickly (thank you, God!), we can all move forward.

Here are some more pictures from Connor's first week! I can't believe he's already a week old!! Where has the time gone?! He's looking a little less yellow (I think, I hope!) and eating like a champ!! Getting used to a boy is definitely different around here. He's gotten me twice already during diaper changes, including his first one at home...he got both Kevin and I and himself. Oh another little rascal of a red head!!!

Tonight, April 9th, will be our first night in an attempt to have Morgan and Maddie share a room. We expect exhaustion tomorrow and lots of giggles, and hopefully some sleep! But we figure since one of us is up half the night with Connor anyway, now is the time. And so the girl bonding begins!!

And here's the handsome yellow submarine!! Ready to go home!!!

Welcome Wiliam Connor!!!

There was no fooling around on April 1st in the McLean house! Connor decided to arrive on April 1st, though he did take his sweet time! After a trip to the doctors to confirm the beginning of labor and then to the hospital, Connor arrived at 9:49pm on Friday, April 1st, 2011. Weighing in at a whooping 10 lbs. 1 oz. and 22 inches long, he looks just like his Daddy! And he's got the red hair to match!

Papa, Gamma and his proud big sisters came to check him out on Saturday afternoon, where we saw our first signs of what chaos our lives will be for a bit!!

Snuggling with Papa!
Meeting Gamma (aka Magga) for the first time!
Auntie Annie was there for William Connor's arrival!

One BIG happy family!!!
